SCA ThermoWood®

Heat-treated timber

SCA ThermoWood® is heat-treated timber made from Nordic pine and spruce. The heat treatment enhances the wood’s dimensional stability and resistance to weather and biological decay.

Heat-Treated Timber

Heat-treated wood has a warm brown tone upon delivery and naturally weathers to a beautiful grey over time. The treatment penetrates the entire wood, allowing for processing without significant color variations.

SCA ThermoWood® offers long durability without added chemicals. ThermoWood® from SCA can be delivered with a stain or opaque finish and can be fire-retardant impregnated with full documentation.

Application: Facade cladding, decking, and other non-load-bearing outdoor constructions.
