SCA Strix treated decking
SCA Strix is a treated decking board made from high-quality timber, carefully selected using X-ray technology.
With SCA Strix, you get decking beyond the ordinary. It features a smooth texture and beautiful surface, with fewer and smaller knots than standard decking. The treatment ensures a ready-to-install product that withstands the elements.

We offer two classes of pressure-treated and quality-controlled timber:
- NTR-A – Used for constructions in direct contact with the ground or exposed to high moisture levels, such as fence posts or structural framing for decking.
- NTR-AB – Used for above-ground applications, such as decking or cladding.
Cleaning and brushing
As soon as temperatures rise above freezing, clean your decking and exterior cladding with a brush, soap, and water. You can also use other cleaning products available on the market. Consult a specialist retailer for recommendations. Use a pressure washer with caution, as it can roughen and damage the wood surface, leading to cracks.
Surface fibrillation
Freshly sawn wood exposed to the outdoors will turn gray within one to two years. UV radiation from sunlight primarily breaks down the lignin in the wood surface. A natural phenomenon called surface fibrillation (fiber fuzzing) can occur on all types of wood. This is a normal part of the wood's lifecycle and does not affect its rot resistance or structural integrity. Over time, surface fibrillation diminishes. If it occurs on untreated decking or cladding from SCA, it can be easily removed with a soft brush.
