SCA Aquila Heartwood decking
With an eagle’s eye, we have carefully selected the finest heartwood, which over time will develop a beautiful silver-grey hue. The name is inspired by the eagle family Aquila, which includes the golden eagle.
SCA's heartwood pine decking comes from slow-grown northern Swedish pine with a very high heartwood content.
• All wood is X-rayed to ensure it consists of at least 99% heartwood.
• Naturally resistant to rot, fungi, and pests.
• Requires no treatment or oiling to extend its lifespan.
• The wider heartwood decking has a curved surface that allows water to drain more easily, increasing durability and reducing the risk of cracks.

SCA Aquila becomes even more beautiful over time. When you purchase heartwood pine decking, it has a light, natural wood color, which gradually turns grey. The time it takes for this transformation depends on the environment and weather conditions, but it typically takes a few months to a couple of years to achieve a silver-grey patina.
During the greying process, some surface growth may appear around objects like flower pots. This can be easily removed by cleaning with soap and water.
